When you use our website, your personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data") is processed. The data may include, for example, your name, address, e-mail address and other personal details. Processing is basically any way in which this data is handled. A) Purposes and legal bases of our data processing 

1st registration

You can use our website to register with us. It is not possible to create a user profile without entering the mandatory information specified during registration. The legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us.

2. extension of the user profile

You then have the option of voluntarily providing further data and storing it with us in order to use it in the context of using our services. The legal basis for the processing of this data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR.

3. history of use

As part of the contract with you, we also process data in order to show you recent past uses and to make appropriate suggestions for further uses, including the services of partners. The legal basis for the processing of this data is also Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us.

4th Newsletter

We also process data in order to send you e-mails on the basis of any consent you may have given to the sending of newsletters. The legal basis for the processing of this data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR.

Consent to the sending of a newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter on the website, you give us your consent to regularly send you the newsletter, which can be revoked at any time. Consent is granted until it is revoked.

5. further training

To organise our training courses, we will process the personal data of our contractual partners and, insofar as these are not also the participants, those of the participants in the event. The processing is carried out solely for the purpose of organising the training and issuing certificates of attendance. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR. 

We will only pass on this data if this is necessary for the organisation of the event, e.g. to lecturers and cooperation partners, and only insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of this purpose. 

We will store the data processed in this way until the expiry of the applicable retention periods. We will store participants' data for the purpose of subsequently creating certificates of participation in the event of loss or destruction for a period of 5 years, after which they will be deleted. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in reproducing the certificates in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR.

6. contact form

The website provides a contact form for making contact. The data entered here, insofar as it is personal data, is stored on the hosting provider's server and then forwarded via e-mail to the receiving mailbox provided for this purpose. The forwarding takes place exclusively within the server, so that any risk to the confidentiality of the data is effectively excluded. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR.

By way of derogation, the legal basis for the collection of the name is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. The legitimate interest for this is a more personalised approach to the enquirer.

Consent to the processing of further data from the contact form

In addition to the required mandatory information, you have the option of providing us with further contact information. In this respect, this is voluntary information for the processing of which you give us your consent by providing it. Consent includes processing to the same extent as listed for the mandatory information.

7. e-mail contact

It is possible to contact us at various points on the website via the e-mail address provided. The personal data transmitted, in particular the e-mail address itself, is stored. This data is not passed on to third parties. The data is used exclusively for processing the enquiry. The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f GDPR. The legitimate interest in the processing of the data lies in the realisation of the contact. The data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies or the communication has ended. If an offer process takes place in the course of the communication, the processed data will be deleted after the retention periods provided for this purpose have expired.

8 IT security

Finally, we also process data in your and our interest in order to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data processing systems, i.e. in particular the security and availability of your data at TU Dresden Traffic Accident Research GmbH. It is not possible to use our website and our app without processing data for this purpose. The legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the maintenance and secure provision of our services.

9. external content

Our website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. We cannot accept any liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognisable at the time of linking. Should we become aware of any legal infringements, we will remove the corresponding link immediately.

B) Data transfer beyond the borders of the EU 

The data we collect is stored exclusively on servers in the European Union. Data will not be transferred to companies outside the European Union without your express consent. This also applies to service providers commissioned by us to process data, with the exception of the service providers listed below.

C) Data recipient 

We will only transmit your data via a secure connection.

To enable us to offer you all functions, we also use selected service providers who process data on our behalf and in our name. We only pass on data to service providers carefully selected by us and commissioned in writing within the scope of legally permissible order processing. These service providers only receive the data that is necessary for the fulfilment of the order.

This includes the following categories of contractors: Identification service providers, software developers, server hosters, newsletter senders, customer support, web analysis services.

D) Duration of data storage

The duration of data storage for all processing carried out on the basis of a weighing of interests or consent results from the previous list of processing operations. If the processing is carried out on the basis of a contract, the data will be deleted once the purpose of the contract no longer applies, unless we are legally obliged to continue to store or retain it. If the data is still required to process outstanding transactions, it will be erased at the earliest after these transactions have been processed.

E) Data processing for web analytics, trackers and other plugins

E-tracker

We use the analytics service etracker. The provider is etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1 20459 Hamburg, Germany. When you visit our website, further usage data is therefore collected and stored, namely the course of the page visit and the time spent on the pages. This data is not analysed across other websites. We use the data collected exclusively to provide our services and to make the website more user-friendly, effective and secure in your and our interests. The data collected is not used to identify you or to create a personalised profile. It will also not be merged with personal data provided by you or other data without your prior express consent.

etracker uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the browser on your end device and enable you to be recognised on a subsequent visit. Hotjar

We use the Hotjar analysis and feedback service. The provider is Hotjar Ltd, St. Julians Business Centre 3, Elia Zammit Street 3, St. Julians STJ 3155, Malta. When you visit our website, additional usage data is therefore collected and stored. The software enables us to analyse the usage behaviour of our visitors by measuring and evaluating clicks, mouse movements and the like on our website. The information collected by a tracking code and cookies is transmitted to the Hotjar server. This information is primarily device-related data such as the IP address of your device and your email address with your first and last name, if you have provided us with this information. Also the screen size of your device, the device type and browser information such as type and version. Your geographical location and your preferred language are recorded. Facebook Connect

 We use Facebook Connect to make it easier for you to register. The provider is Facebook Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025.

This allows you to log in to our website with your Facebook account and dispense with the normal registration process. To log in, you will be redirected to the Facebook page where you can log in with your user data. By linking your Facebook account with vufo.de, we automatically receive the following information from Facebook Inc: Name, e-mail address, birthday, gender, language, country, profile picture, Facebook ID, cover picture, friends lists and like details.

Of this data, we only use and store your name, email address, date of birth, language and Facebook ID, as they are absolutely necessary for the conclusion of the contract in order to identify you. We use the data collected by us through Facebook Connect exclusively to fulfil the contract between you and VUFO. It will be stored until you revoke the link between your Facebook account and VUFO.

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of deactivating the "Google Maps" service and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google. Google DoubleClick

We use the Google DoubleClick plug-in. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphtheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA, 94043. DoubleClick uses cookies to present you with adverts that are relevant to you.

A pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser in order to check which adverts have been displayed in your browser and which adverts have been viewed. The use of DoubleClick cookies only enables Google and its partner websites to display adverts based on previous visits to our or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for analysis and stored there. Youtube

We use the provider YouTube for the integration of videos. YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, headquartered at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is represented by Google Inc. with its registered office at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

We use plug-ins from the provider YouTube on some of our web pages. When you access the pages of our website that have such a plug-in - for example our homepage - a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the plug-in is displayed. This tells the YouTube server which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in to YouTube as a member, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. When you use the plug-in, e.g. by clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. Piwik/Matomo

This website uses the open source software Matomo (formerly Piwik) to statistically analyse visitor access.

Cookies are used to analyse user access. These text files, which are stored on the computer of the respective user, make it possible to analyse the use of the website. The information and data generated by cookies are stored on a server in Germany. The IP address is anonymised before storage. You can deactivate the use of cookies in your browser settings. However, this may mean that our website can no longer be used to its full extent.

The data is not passed on to third parties. Piwik uses user data in anonymised form so that we can optimise our website and our services. IP addresses are stored by Piwik without the last digits. All data stored by us or any contract processors is protected against unauthorised access, loss and alteration using the latest security standards. To this end, extensive technical and organisational security precautions are applied to a standard that at least meets the legal requirements.
